Debbie Donaldson is a multi-talented artist born in Shreveport, Louisiana, and now living  in the country on 30 acres in Keithville, LA.

She attended Louisiana Tech University majoring in graphic design.  Her love of art lead her to pursue a

range of mediums from fine art,  jewelry design, crafts, up-cycled furniture and her passion - Halloween Creatures, Props and Decorations.

Even though Debbie has worked in advertising and graphic design over the last 20 years, Black Cat Studios didn't come to life until after the death of her husband John.  Married on Halloween, the anticipation of celebrating their first anniversary without him made her realize she should be celebrating their life and love and so began "Boo Bash", an annual Halloween Costume Party where her first "Ghoulie" was born! Over the last ten years "Boo Bash" and Black Cat Studios has brought to life a number of new Creature Creations as well as her passion for the Halloween Season. 

Although Debbie continues to pursue all types of art,

Debbie's focus is in papier mache specializing in Halloween related art and oddities and pushing the

boundaries of the papier mache medium.
